A decade turning ideas into working machine learning.

I’m a Machine Learning Scientist at Booking.com in Amsterdam, where I use generative AI and large language models to enhance the large-scale personalization and recommendations that reach millions of travellers. My work sits where research meets production: taking models from a promising idea to something reliable that real people use.

Before Booking, I spent three and a half years as a Data Scientist at PayPal, building classifiers and time-series anomaly-detection systems, and co-founded Savy (a productivity-focused messaging startup) as CTO after a fellowship at MIT designX. I hold an MSc in Computer Science from Bahçeşehir University (4.0 GPA), and over the last few years generative models have moved to the centre of my work, from early GANs to today’s large language models.

I like problems that are equal parts research and engineering, and I have a soft spot for generative models, where a simple question (“what if I trained an AI to…”) can turn into a real end-to-end project.
